Allstate Auto Insurance Allstate actually turned 75 years old this year and was originally started in 1931 as part of the Sears, Roebuck & Company. Allstate auto insurance offers a few great features. One feature is the accident forgiveness feature, and keeps your insurance from going up if you are in an accident, even if you are at fault. This feature is good because with most auto insurances your insurance could go up as much as 40% if you were in an accident, especially if it was your fault. Another feature is safe driving bonus, which comes into affect if you were to stay accident-free every six months. You can actually earn an extra 5% off of your next renewal premium, on top of any other discounts you may already be receiving from Allstate. Deductible rewards is another feature that Allstate offers. With deductable rewards you will get an automatic $100.00 off of your collision deductible the day that you sign up. Plus with the deductible rewards feature you can get an additional $100.00 off for every year you have an accident-free year, up to $500.00 that is. Allstate also now has what they call the new car replacement feature, which is good if your new car was to be totaled in an accident because then Allstate will help you replace it with another car of the same make and model. You can get liability coverage with Allstate, which will cover you with both bodily injury and property damages. Liability coverage will help you if you are in an accident and it is your fault. Collision coverage is another type of coverage you can get with Allstate, and will help you pay for any repairs or to completely replace your insured vehicle after an accident. Comprehensive coverage is another option you can get with Allstate, and will cover damages to your insured vehicle that are not from a collision. Some reasons for damages that are covered with comprehensive coverage are floods, wind damage, fire, theft, vandalism, or hitting an animal. You can also get underinsured motorist coverage, which is good if you were to get into an accident with someone that does not have enough auto insurance to cover the accident. You can also get uninsured motorist coverage, which is good if you were to get into an accident with someone who does not have any auto insurance at all. There are some other types of coverages you can get like towing and labor costs and tape/CD coverage, but they are there for more tailored types of problems and customers. |
